I’m often asked by clients, “What is the difference between skin care products sold at a drug or a department store, compared to professional products sold by you or a dermatologist? Do your products really work better?” The answer simply is yes.

Not every product and professional line will be able to fit your skin needs, but as proven, ‘Professional’ skin care lines will benefit your skin in a safer, quicker, and more effective way.

Here are a few reasons as to why:

✔️FDA REGULATES EVERYTHING

ALL otc (including sephora, ulta, macys, etc.) stores are FDA approved.

This means that all skin care products are regulated and can legally only penetrate into the first layer of the skin, otherwise known as ‘dead tissue’. Cosmeceutical grade skin products are not regulated by the FDA.

Therefore, when buying a product by a licensed esthetician/dermatologist, they are trained to inform and sell an individual products that CAN penetrate into the stratum corneum & dermis layers, know as ‘live tissues’.

All your problems start in the dermis!

✔️HIGHER % OF ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

Even though estheticians can not diagnose skin conditions, we are trained to understand how and why products work for all skin types. Our professional products can legally contain a higher percentage of active ingredients to ensure the products will do what they state they are going to do. This also means that cosmeceutical grade will not be watered down, they are HIGHLY concentrated.

✔️ALWAYS MADE FRESH

Cosmeceutical grade products are generally made in smaller batches to guarantee freshness and to deliver immediate results. Since professional lines want to concentrate on the results of your skin, they avoid mass-producing with artificial preservatives, colors/dyes, and fragrances.

Remember, your skin absorbs 90% of what you put on it!

KEEP YOUR PRODUCTS CLEAN!
